Contractor Performance Review
Roche Products Ltd, based in Welwyn, is the UK subsidiary of the second-largest pharmaceutical company in Europe.
As is common in the industry, they have contracted out the storage and distribution of their products to a major Third-Party provider.
Davies & Robson was invited to review the commercial relationship with their logistics provider. This consisted of auditing the resources employed, the activity charges that were included in the pricing structure and the legal agreement.
The review concluded that more efficient working could reduce the resources and consequently the charges. The legal agreement could also be improved to more clearly define roles and responsibilities.
Following the review, Davies & Robson assisted Roche in negotiations revised pricing terms, a new pricing structure and a legal contract that more closely reflects their current requirements.
Upon completion of this project the contractor, with the agreement of Roche, invited Davies & Robson to review their own account management processes.
