Senior Consultant

Senior Solutions Design Consultant
This is an opportunity for a high calibre graduate with at least 5 years experience of developing logistics design solutions to join a highly respected UK Supply Chain & Logistics consultancy.
You will be joining a team of experienced supply chain consultants in providing expertise to their prestigious clients; assisting them in optimising their UK warehouse and distribution operations.
To be considered for this position, you should have a good degree in a logistics, engineering or science related discipline and have a demonstrable track record in areas such as:
• Transport modelling using recognised tools
• Warehouse design specification using CAD
• The management of projects to deliver client supply chain solutions

Distribution Manager

This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading providers of construction and landscaping materials in a senior management role.
The business is looking to appoint a commercially and operationally astute Distribution Manager to manage a multi site, multi £m transport operation with a significant level of complexity and a mixed fleet.
The successful candidate will:
• Develop the transport and logistics strategy
• Ensure that the transport capability and operation delivers the required levels of customer service at best value, and within budget
• Be responsible for the development and implementation of frameworks for supplier commercial arrangements and performance management
• Encourage and develop best practice
• Determine optimum fleet type, mix across depot network and source replacement units cost effectively
• Have ownership of KPIs, management information and systems
• Produce management reports and analyse data proactively to ensure optimum performance
• Have management and ownership of business improvement programmes
To be considered for this role, you will likely have experience of managing both own account and third party transport operations. You should also be a CPC O Licence holder .
The candidate must be highly motivated and have the excellent communication skills required to manage change and improvement programmes.

Supply Chain Project Manager
LOCATION: Berkshire SALARY: c£40k REFERENCE: JCSCPM DATE: 14/6/11
This leading global FMCG manufacturer has a requirement for a high calibre supply chain project manager to coordinate new product introductions across the business. This is a high profile role within the supply chain function; 40% of revenues are generated from products launched in the last 3 years, making product availability and the supply chain management of product launches key to the overall success of the business. As a result this role is often a springboard to senior management positions.
In order to be considered for this key position you should have a good degree and preferably 2-5 years experience in a supply chain or manufacturing management role, in an FMCG environment.
The job demands commercial acumen, the ability to analyse complex data sets, excellent project management and planning skills and the ability to influence and communicate across several functions of the business. You should have a drive for achievement and welcome responsibility.
Fluency in 2 or more European languages would be a distinct advantage.

A breakdown of the responsibilities is as follows:
Project Manage NPD/EPD launches into the business
Control the launch approval process by ensuring the initiatives are going through the appropriate gates at the right time
Co-ordinate the communication between the factories and the commercial business
Contingency planning and issue resolution
Management of the change over of products, ensuring the minimal obsolete stock and the maximum availability
Management of residual stocks and packaging effectively during product change overs, ensuring any issues are well communicated to key stakeholders
Champion SKU De-complexity for category, ensuring brand sits within targets
Logistical Master data co-ordination
Good commercial understanding including bottom up vs. top down gap management process
Ability to present complex data coherently in order to build better understanding within the sales/marketing teams

General Manager
Management of 2 large Warehouse Operations- UK hubs for global manufacturer. t/o €2bn+
We are looking for a highly capable warehouse GM to provide management and leadership across 2 sizeable distribution operations; the joint UK hubs of a global manufacturing business.
This appointment is key element to deriving the full benefit from a recent and substantial redesign of the logistics infrastructure of the business.
As well as the necessary technical and financial expertise, the successful candidate will need exceptional management skills and be able to demonstrate a track record of leading cultural, as well as other, change programmes.
