Warehouse Management
Purpose:
The purpose of this course is to enable delegates to understand the techniques, systems and disciplines that make for efficient and effective warehouse management.
Objectives:
At the end of the programme delegates will:
Have an appreciation of inventory management and stock control techniques
Be able to determine appropriate staffing and equipment resource levels
Appreciate the benefits of a comprehensive warehouse management system (WMS)
Know how to utilise monitoring, control and management reporting to best advantage
Recognise the relationship between control and cost management
Have an understanding of the value of Lean Management techniques to warehousing
Be able to evaluate and deal with warehouse security issues
