ERIKS UK & Ireland supports companies with a wide range of products and components typically used by manufacturers and equipment operators. ERIKS success is based on providing technical advice and the ability to source, and manage, the supply of a large catalogue of products and components.
Following a strategic review, ERIKS prepared an outline plan which envisaged a single Distribution Centre to optimize the delivery of stocked product to customers, their Service Centres and Hubs would continue to order product not stocked centrally. ERIKS objective was to simplify the supply chain, reduce operational costs and refine stock levels. The service to customers would be enhanced through improved service levels, greater transparency of stock in the supply chain and simplified ordering.
Davies & Robson were invited by ERIKS to support them with the review process. This encompassed validation of the proposed supply chain model, design and implementation of a new ‘Order Management’ process and the design and layout of the warehouse.

Following extensive work reviewing processes, analysing data and modelling various options the revised layout and operational plans were finalized and ERIKS procured a site at Oldbury for the new warehouse.
