Due to exceptional growth over recent years, HiB Limited, a privately owned business specialising in bathroom products, has outgrown its current warehouse and is moving existing operations to a new 80,000 sq ft warehouse.
Following a review of the current 40,000 sq ft warehouse by Davies & Robson they were able to highlight opportunities for quick wins and improvements before developing a business case for a future fully functional Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Davies & Robson’s warehouse consultants worked with the management team to develop growth plans and future warehouse specification. Using the resulting forecast enabled ‘right size’ of the warehouse facility for 5, 10, 15 and 20 year projections.
HiB decided the next step was to move to an 80,000 sq ft facility nearby on Birch Coppice Business Park. This is currently in the construction phase and Davies & Robson continue to assist HiB with the finer details of the implementation as well as the purchasing of storage media and MHE.
