Rail Gourmet is part of SSP – Food Travel Experts operating 400 outlets across 125 airports and over 270 rail stations around the globe under brands including; Starbucks, M&S Simply Food and Burger King.
Our logistics consultants successfully project managed the implementation of a major new distribution operation for SSP, and ensured there was no disruption in service to airport outlets, as the changeover occurred at the start of the critical peak summer trading period.
All activities and associated systems, processes and procedures involved in the ordering, receipt, storage and distribution of frozen, ambient and chilled foodstuffs to SSP units were within the scope of the project. Although it was a big task the service to airport outlets went live a month earlier than initially planned.
Since we have reviewed their Euston operation and have supplied advice on a tender process.
