The Entertainer is a privately owned retailer of children’s toys and games with over 100 stores located across the Country. In addition to traditional stores, the Company is an e-tailer providing a delivery service direct to the home. The logistics requirements of The Entertainer are particularly challenging with a five to six fold increase of sales in the shops between low and peak periods and 60-65% of products replaced each year.
Our logistics consultancy was engaged to assist in the determination of the optimum logistics strategy and the management of a tender process aimed at identifying suitable sites and a preferred logistics contractor. The tender process was successfully completed and XPO Logistics were appointed to operate the new site.
