Wacker Neuson Optimise Warehouse Operation To Support Future Growth

Wacker Neuson Limited serves as the UK arm of the global Wacker Neuson Group, a leading manufacturer of construction and compact equipment. Based in Stafford, the UK division oversees sales, aftersales, and support for a comprehensive range of light and compact machinery, including excavators, wheel loaders, dumpers, and soil compaction equipment.

Wacker Neuson has been experiencing recent significant growth and approached Davies & Robson to undertake a review of their current warehousing operation. This was to include a full review of existing operational processes in the warehouse from order receipt to order despatch, with the aim to reduce handling times, minimise bottlenecks and align with lean practices.

In addition, recommendations for layout changes that would improve spacial utilisation and material flow were requested. Finally, Davies & Robson were asked for recommendations on storage improvements that would increase storage density, improve accessibility, and support SKU variety. The overall goal was to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, increase throughput, and support future scalability.
