Hain Daniels is a major manufacturer, producing and selling food and drinks in chilled, ambient and frozen food categories.
We were appointed when Hain Daniels Group acquired Premier Foods jams’ spreads, and jellies business. They required a new logistics solution to support the storage and distribution of brands including Hartley’s, Sun-Pat, Gale’s, Robertson’s & Frank Cooper’s, from the manufacturing facility at Histon Cambridgeshire.
Our extensive experience in managing outsourcing and tender processes enabled us to help Hain Daniels select a single contractor for warehousing and transport. As a result the management of operations, inventory levels, and inter-site trunking were simplified and unnecessary costs minimised.
The project also defined the IT system responsibilities, interfacing requirements and the analysis of order and manufacturing data to determine the supply and demand centre of gravity.
